International tourney kick-off for Baden Volley prior to the new season
Baden Volleys Gear Up for Exciting New Season in 1st Volleyball Bundesliga
The Baden Volleys are making a strong comeback to the 1st Volleyball Bundesliga, with their preparations for the upcoming season well underway. Head coach Guido Görtzen, an Olympic champion from 1996, is leading the charge, aiming to create a new and powerful team.
Since early August, the players have been dedicating their time to training, both on the beach court and in the gym. The team is currently a mix of familiar faces and new additions, with a total of eleven new players joining the ranks. Among the new recruits is Jackson Holland, an Australian libero who previously played for Finnish cup winner Savo Volley.
The Baden Volleys have been working hard to get to know each other and gel as a team. This weekend, they will get their first taste of competition with a series of test matches.
The Bundesliga season for the Baden Volleys begins on October 22nd, and they will host the newly promoted team from Freiburg in the first match. Under Guido Görtzen's guidance, a powerful unit is being created from the new additions to the Baden Volleys.
In addition to the Bundesliga season, the Baden Volleys will also be participating in an international tournament in Luxembourg. The competition will feature teams from Belgium, France, and the Netherlands, providing a great opportunity for the team to test their mettle against some of Europe's best.
Guido Görtzen is looking forward to working with the new team in the competition hall and is confident that they will make a strong showing in both the Bundesliga and the international tournament. As the countdown to the new season begins, the Baden Volleys are eager to take to the court and show what they can do.
