Collision on B 236 Near Dortmund: Three Severely Injured, Reckless Driving Suspected
A collision between a BMW and a Skoda on the B 236 heading towards Schwerte occurred on June 22, 2025, near the Berghofen interchange. The incident, which took place around 5:40 AM, left three individuals severely injured, including two men from Iserlohn and a woman from Dortmund.
The vehicles involved were a BMW and a Skoda. The BMW, which was overtaking at a speed higher than the permitted 80 km/h, ignored a red light before the collision. The BMW's driver's identity could not be definitively determined. The Skoda, on the other hand, was being driven by a 39-year-old woman from Dortmund.
The Dortmund Police's specialized traffic accident investigation team took over the investigation, and a case of reckless driving is suspected. Blood samples were taken from both men involved in the collision at the hospital. The BMW and the Skoda were no longer roadworthy after the collision and were impounded.
